Israel Frias Chaparro

INTERN ARCHITECT

​​Israel began to take interest within the scope of architecture after taking a drawing class in High School; although the class briefly covered the topic of architecture Israel was eager to learn more within the world of Architecture. Israel junior year joined a club called TSA (Technology Student Association) where he competed in a state competition for architecture. Israel and his team members took first place in the 2017 state championship and went on to represent the state of New Mexico in Nationals; Israel competed again in 2018 where Israel and his team took second place in state and made into the semifinals nationally. After high school, Israel attended the University of New Mexico where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Architecture degree. Israel is currently pursuing a Professional Master of Architecture degree at the University of New Mexico, which he’s on track to graduate Spring of 2024. Israel has focused his studies on the culture and naturality of New Mexico; Israel believes in the importance to progress design without losing our culture, and natural beauty in the process. Israel joined buffalo design because he claims, “we follow the same design philosophy”. Israel takes part in various aspects of the design process within buffalo design.  Israel pursues forward to receive licensure in hopes to inspire minority children around the state to pursue a future within the field.
