- Poeh Cultural Center Master Plan | Buffalo Design
Poeh Cultural Center Master Plan < Back Poeh Cultural Center Master Plan The proposed new park is intended to occupy the property to the northwest of the Poeh Cultural Center (PCC). The envisaged park will incorporate a Pueblo Veterans Memorial, a playground, and a fitness course. It is imperative for the park to have direct access to the outdoor activity areas of the PCC. Throughout its history, the Poeh Cultural Center has consistently expanded its offerings, collections, and archives, with an ongoing commitment to serving the Pojoaque Pueblo community and Pueblo Indians across New Mexico. With the continuous growth of collections, archives, and services, there arises a requirement for additional storage and workspace. To address this need, the Buffalo Design team has been chosen to collaborate with the staff and management of the PCC in identifying a suitable approach for expanding the existing center. The objective is to align this expansion with the overarching goals and objectives of the Poeh Cultural Center. Ohkay Owingeh Pueblo Community Wellness Center < Back Ohkay Owingeh Pueblo Community Wellness Center Ohkay Owingeh then used the construction documents to solicit funding for the project. This Multi-Purpose building is a one-story 8,758sf Health and Wellness Building including a 5,800sf full size gymnasium with integral volleyball court, and spectator seating. - San Felipe Master Plan | Buffalo Design
San Felipe Master Plan < Back San Felipe Master Plan The San Felipe Exit 252 Master Plan was developed to establish a framework for development of the 70-acre parcel of land that currently includes the Black Mesa Casino and Travel Center and Pueblo Restaurant. Recent developments including the re-branding of the casino, addition of the trucker’s lounge at the travel center and the demolition of the old racetrack has set the stage for the much-needed plan for the long-term development of the site. The primary goal was to create an “achievable plan” that included zones for future development. This master plan, while setting the stage for future development, is none the less a living document. The plan must be continually reviewed and updated as circumstances that influence the decisions made at this time may change in the future. The purpose of any master planning effort is to provide design guidelines for future development. This includes not only the physical planning and layout of the building but also the desired design criteria and standards that must be adhered to. Just as the building program provides specific sizes, and relationship of various spaces so to must the building performance criteria give specific requirements for each of the components used in the construction of the built forms. - T'siya Pueblo Enrichment & Learning Center | Buffalo Design
T'siya Pueblo Enrichment & Learning Center < Back T'siya Pueblo Enrichment & Learning Center T’siya Enrichment & Learning Center 2 marks a meticulous redesign of the original project, necessitated by its relocation to a smaller site and more stringent plan requirements. This adjustment resulted in a significant reduction of approximately 30% in the overall square footage of the facility. Despite these constraints, we remained committed to upholding the core program requirements of the center. To ensure the continuity of its enriching services, the overall program was thoughtfully retained with only minor adjustments. The number of classrooms was reduced from 8 to 4, while retaining their functionality and efficiency. The flexible community/multi-purpose space and the essential kitchen facilities were retained, albeit on a reduced scale, allowing for continued versatility in accommodating diverse activities and events. The new design for T’siya Enrichment & Learning Center 2 embodies our dedication to delivering an environment that fosters growth, learning, and community engagement, even within the confines of the smaller site and plan limitations. The thoughtful adaptation of the program ensures that the center continues to uphold its mission of providing a nurturing and empowering space for education, enrichment, and personal development.
