T'siya Enrichment and Learning Center T’siya Enrichment & Learning Center 2 marks a meticulous redesign of the original project, necessitated by its relocation to a smaller site and more stringent plan requirements. This adjustment resulted in a significant reduction of approximately 30% in the overall square footage of the facility. Despite these constraints, we remained committed to upholding the core program requirements of the center. To ensure the continuity of its enriching services, the overall program was thoughtfully retained with only minor adjustments. The number of classrooms was reduced from 8 to 4, while retaining their functionality and efficiency. The flexible community/multi-purpose space and the essential kitchen facilities were retained, albeit on a reduced scale, allowing for continued versatility in accommodating diverse activities and events. The new design for T’siya Enrichment & Learning Center 2 embodies our dedication to delivering an environment that fosters growth, learning, and community engagement, even within the confines of the smaller site and plan limitations. The thoughtful adaptation of the program ensures that the center continues to uphold its mission of providing a nurturing and empowering space for education, enrichment, and personal development. Zuni Pueblo Masterplan < Back Zuni Pueblo Masterplan The Zuni Route 4 Master Plan responds to the pressing need for additional housing, driven by the requirements of Tribal members, present and future Pueblo employees, and the potential return of Tribal members to their ancestral land. This comprehensive initiative has a central goal of diversifying housing options, including single-family homes, townhomes, apartments, and mobile homes, all with a keen focus on supporting multi-generational living arrangements to foster family closeness. The Master Plan incorporates a detailed Land Use Plan that visually designates zones for single and multi-family residences, commercial areas, public safety facilities, daycare centers, parks, and open spaces. A well-integrated road and utility corridor system is proposed to ensure efficient vehicular and pedestrian access throughout the Master Plan area. Additionally, the plan envisions a trail system to promote non-motorized transportation, encouraging a healthier lifestyle among residents. Furthermore, the Master Plan outlines housing preferences, commercial development, and desired densities to serve and enrich the community. Recognizing the significance of water and sewer infrastructure, concurrent projects have been incorporated to ensure they align seamlessly with the Route 4 Master Plan's overarching vision. Isleta Administration Building The Schematic Design phase of this project has been successfully completed. However, due to the impact of COVID, its progress is currently on hold. Once operational, the facility will serve as a centralized hub for all Pueblo Administrative staff, streamlining various departments under one roof. As the administrative functions are currently scattered across the Pueblo, this facility aims to bring together essential departments, including Transportation, Design & Construction, Survey & Mapping, Environment, Public Works, Natural Resources, Procurement, Treasury, Human Resources, Water Resources, and Isleta Pueblo Housing Authority. This consolidation will significantly benefit the Pueblo community by enhancing accessibility and convenience for administrative services. The planned facility also includes a spacious training room designed to double as an Emergency Operation Center when needed. This multi-purpose space ensures the Pueblo is prepared to respond effectively to any emergency situation that may arise. Although the project is currently on hold, the completion of the Schematic Design phase marks a promising step towards creating a highly functional and efficient administrative center for the Pueblo. Nambe Pueblo Teen Center < Back Nambe Pueblo Teen Center Amidst the challenges faced during the COVID-19 pandemic, our attention was drawn to a significant project in November 2020 – the creation of a dynamic Teen Center. The task of designing this facility presented numerous obstacles that demanded exploration through several iterations before reaching the final design. Throughout the process, the fluctuating construction costs necessitated constant vigilance and adaptability. We meticulously considered various materials, including wood, steel, metal building, and hybrid options, in order to achieve the most optimal outcome. The Teen Center project, with its unique purpose and youthful energy, stirred our team to approach it with utmost dedication and perseverance. As we navigated through the complexities, we found gratifying solutions that resulted in a predominantly wood hybrid design, perfectly tailored to meet the needs of the young community it will serve. In spite of the formidable challenges faced, the journey to create this Teen Center became a testament to our team's resilience and ingenuity. The final result is a space that promises to empower and inspire teenagers, providing them with a safe, vibrant, and welcoming environment to nurture their passions, creativity, and growth. NTUA has entrusted us with the task of seamlessly integrating the new design with the existing architecture, providing much-needed administrative offices. Our design approach focuses on respecting and preserving the architectural heritage and cultural significance of the NTUA Building. We aim to create a cohesive extension that complements the original structure, maintaining visual continuity by using similar design language and materials. The new design thoughtfully addresses the functional requirements for additional administrative offices, ensuring efficient and organized spaces to meet the organization's evolving needs. Emphasizing a welcoming and inclusive environment, the expanded building maximizes natural light, ventilation, and spatial flow, fostering a productive atmosphere for staff and visitors. Beyond the practical aspects, the project emphasizes the cultural importance of community integration and preservation. We aim to honor Navajo heritage by thoughtfully integrating local art and design motifs into the new addition, creating a space that resonates with a sense of identity and pride. Dine College Ned Hatathli Center Additions & Renovation < Back Dine College Ned Hatathli Center Additions & Renovation The Ned Hatathli Center, a prominent seven-story high-rise situated at the heart of Dine's College campus in Tsaile, Arizona, has long been an iconic symbol of the institution. Given the historical importance of both the building and the college itself, a meticulous and sensitive approach was required to address its structural issues and undertake planned interior remodels. Over the years, the Ned Hatathli Center has faced substantial structural shifting and cracking due to the instability of the underlying soil conditions. These conditions have not only affected the building's integrity but have also caused visible defects in elements such as the curtain wall system and the first-level floor. Our comprehensive scope of work includes an assessment of the structural framework and the underlying soil conditions supporting the Center, as well as an examination of the curtain wall construction and the factors contributing to discoloration, cracking, and moisture infiltration. In addition to addressing these critical structural concerns, our project encompasses a thoughtful approach to interior remodels. These remodels will include the creation of a welcoming café, modern classrooms, and a culturally significant hall. The café will serve as a gathering space, fostering a sense of community among students and faculty. The classrooms will be equipped with state-of-the-art technology and ergonomic design to enhance the learning experience. The cultural hall, designed with the rich heritage of the Dine people in mind, will provide a dedicated space for cultural events, celebrations, and gatherings. Previous attempts at repairs and deferred maintenance have only exacerbated issues, resulting in additional problems such as leaks, settling, and further deterioration. Isleta Resort & Casino Additions & Renovations < Back Isleta Resort & Casino Additions & Renovations The project entails a series of renovations and additions to the existing casino and resort. The renovations will encompass the Porte Cochere and exterior upgrades, the Main Entry, and Players Club. The addition includes a 30,000 square foot space housing a Bingo Hall with 400 seats, a Triple Seven Saloon with 300 seats, a Poker room, food service facilities, and support facilities. Furthermore, the existing Bingo Hall will be transformed into a state-of-the-art Showroom with seating for 2,500 people in a theater-style setting. This renovation includes new finishes, enhanced sound and lighting systems, improved acoustics, and beverage service options. The casino floor will undergo a redesign, aiming for a lighter and brighter ambiance with clean lines, featuring a new High Limit room and Non-Smoking slots room. The project also involves the development of new Food & Beverage venues, including a Bar & Grill, a Food Court accommodating three vendors with 150 seats near the casino floor, and upgrades to the existing Embers restaurant along with other food outlets. The Spa area will be upgraded with new finishes in the men's and women's spa rooms, front desk, and waiting rooms with an entirely new design, materials, and colors. The corridor leading to the Spa will also see improvements with new design elements, video monitors, and music. The Hotel Lobby will undergo a transformation, replacing the existing carpet with Tribal colors flooring, and redesigning the front desk area. Additionally, lighting improvements will be made to the parking lot for enhanced safety and visibility. A new Central Plant will be constructed, and the existing HVAC systems will be replaced to ensure better efficiency and performance. Lastly, the project will conclude with a re-roofing of the existing casino to address any roofing issues and ensure structural integrity.
